BA News: Upcoming Posts, NaNo, and Blog Tours

Hey readers. Lately I’ve been somewhat sporadic (read absent) with my posting. One went up the other day, which means it’s safe to say posts are resuming. They may not be as routine as before though. Why? Blog tours, The Iron Fey, and NaNoWrimo, that’s why!

The Lost Prince by Julie Kagawa, the first in the Call of the Forgotten series (related to The Iron Fey series), hits stores a couple of days ago. Currently I’m working my way through The Iron Fey series so I know what’s going on because I plan on reading The Lost Prince. I’m attempting to post reviews to all six books, starting on the 29th, and then having The Lost Prince review. There will be the first three in one week, followed by the last three in the second week, and then The Lost Prince. So if you’re wondering why there’s a whole bunch of Iron Fey book reviews coming your way, now you know why (edit: I may end up skipping the last two books, given my reading schedule and writing schedule, just in case they conflict).

In other news I have decided to participate in NaNoWrimo (National Novel Writing Month) this year. I wasn’t going to, and I missed last year, but I thought why not? I’m still working through the dystopian piece I started during the 2010 NaNo (my 2010 announcement and experience update), and I am not quitting it, but I feel like I need to write something else as well. I’m really looking forward to taking part in NaNo this year. Last time I was living in an area where there weren’t many other Wrimos around and I couldn’t travel far. This year I’ve moved to a completely different location and have already noticed several other Wrimos are in the area, so I’m doubly happy about doing NaNo. I’ve gone on about it on my blog here, it has more details about what I’m writing and where I’m updating, but you can also find me directly via my NaNo profile of course.

Unlike my last NaNo experience, I will still be taking part in the world around me. There will be posts coming up, including posts and reviews in conjunction with blog tours. I may not keep up BA Chat posts, but there will be content. I’m not too sure with how I’m going to go juggling reading a bunch of books and writing one, but I’m willing to give it a shot in November.

That’s pretty much it. Let me know if you’re doing NaNo too, feel free to add me as a writing buddy if you would like to, and good luck to all taking part in NaNo too.

    • Thanks Brittany, good luck to you too! I’m definitely interested in being a writing buddy with you.
It’s my second time and I still don’t know how I’m going to to. It’s all a little scary, but it’s so much fun.

I see you’re going to be writing Young Adult, do you have a game plan, or are you just going to wing it?
