Question: Do you divide your books into day and night reads? How do you decide?
This is one of those things that I can’t quite fathom. I don’t do it myself, but I know several people who do. I know some people prefer certain books at night to help them fall asleep or there are certain books that keep people awake, but I don’t really have that problem.
Don’t get me wrong. There are books I find really hard to put down, but when I want to go to sleep I just put the book away and go to sleep. If a book is putting me to sleep I won’t read it because there’s no point. It’s not engaging enough so why read it (excluding text books and the like)?
I also find it hard to read more then one book at a time. I have attempted this several times, but give up pretty quickly as I tend to favour one book until I finish it and then revert back to the other one. I like paying attention and spending my energy on the one story rather then several. It’s a little different sometimes if one is fiction and one is non fiction, but even then I really like to focus on the one subject.
Then there is the whole writing factor. If I had a day book and a night book, when would I be able to write a book? That hurts my head thinking about it.
So long answer? No I don’t. Do you? If you take part let me know so I can check out your answer.
